Denise started her dental career studying at The Royal London Hospital in 1989. She graduated Bachelor of Dentistry with Honours in 1993 and was offered one of the coveted House Surgical Posts at The Royal London Hospital, which she accepted.She moved to Norfolk in 2006 and has worked in Private practice as a Specialist Periodontist since. As one of a handful of Periodontists in East Anglia to be on the Specialist Register she has been certainly been kept busy Denise is happy to take self referrals or referrals from GDPs.

Nami Farkhondeh Web

After completing his dental degree at the Royal London Hospital and a year of vocational training, Nami held a number of positions as Senior House Officer and Staff Grade in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in some of the most prestigious hospitals in England. This is where he learnt his basic and advanced surgical skills. During this time he also gained his Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons.

He then undertook his Masters of Science training programme at Guy's, King's and St Thomas' Hospital where he learnt all aspects of Periodontology. He has also completed the Advanced Diploma in Implant Dentistry course at the Royal College of Surgeons England.

Nami is also trained in dental sedation. He is affiliated with a number of societies including the British Society of Periodontology, Association of Dental Implantology and the Society for Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry.

Currently Nami divides his working time between working in private practice and teaching postgraduate dental students on the MSc programmes in both Periodontology and Implant dentistry.

In his spare time Nami enjoys travelling, reading and playing the guitar.

Stuart Cox Web

Qualified from UCL London 1977 BDS and passed LDS RCS 1978.

Stuart has worked in general practice and ran his own practice in Durham for 21years.

Stuart has worked in Germany and Saudi Arabia while learning new skills. He also enjoyed supervising dental students at the University of Newcastle for ten years.

Stuart enjoys all aspects of dentistry even after all these years and looks forward to continuing to do so.

Rebecca Patterson Web

Rebecca qualified from Cardiff Dental School in 1997 and moved to the area and joined the Smiles Better Dental team in May 2008.

Rebecca provides general dentistry and likes to work in a relaxed environment to make patients feel welcome and put them at ease whilst striving to provide the highest quality of dental care.

Rebecca is also a registered Inman practitioner (private orthodontics) and provides this service as well as clear aligners at Smiles Better. She has also just completed her training in Smile Fast Composite Veneers, which offers a faster and more affordable option to the traditional porcelain veneer.

In 2021 Rebecca took on the role as the practice clinical lead (PCL) which involves supporting the practice manager and clinicians in the practice to continue to deliver the highest level of care.

In her spare time, she enjoys quality family time and training her 3 horses.

Alex Krastevs Web

Originally from Latvia, Alex is a general dentist who trained and graduated in the sunny city of Plovdiv, Bulgaria in 2021. Alex joined the Smiles Better team in February 2023 and has particular interests in endodontics and restorative dentistry. Alex is passionate about dental aesthetics and supports biomimetic dentistry and uses a minimally invasive approach to dentistry to preserve natural tooth structure.

Outside of the dental surgery, Alex enjoys travelling, fishing, and playing chess.

Caroline Holland Web

Caroline started with us in Autumn 2008 and is working with us on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Caroline trained and qualified as a Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist at Sheffield University and is a member of The British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy (BSDHT).

Caroline continues to broaden and update her knowledge and skills with post graduate courses in her field to aid her and her patients in the practice.

Caroline is dedicated to promoting healthy and confident smiles. She regularly uses air polishing systems for stain removal, implant and orthodontic patients. Caroline also provides an in-surgery and home whitening service at the practice.

Vinesh Kumar Web

Vinesh was working as Dental Hygienist in Cornwall and moved to Norfolk recently. He joined the Smiles Better Dental and Implant Clinic in 2022 and have been working as the Dental Hygienist.

Vinesh provides direct access hygiene appointments, for patients who haven't seen Dentist/ Hygienist previously. He uses AIR-FLOW therapy in his appointments, to help remove stains and discolouration.

He endeavours to ensure all his patients are treated in a caring and gentle manner, helping patients to be comfortable and informed throughout. He is passionate about oral health education and holistic care. His focus is on ensuring patients have the knowledge and motivation to maintain healthy teeth and gums.

Outside of work, he likes to spend quality time with family.

Chloe Brotherhood Web

Hygienist

Chloe is enthusiastic in educating patients in oral hygiene instruction. During Chloe's training, she undertook a personal research project to determine the best method of instructing patients in tooth brushing techniques. Chloe prides herself on her excellent communication skills amongst patients and colleagues. Chloe is just as comfortable working as an individual as she am in a team. Her passion and enthusiasm are reflected in her work, and she has the ability and diplomacy to cope with challenging patients.

Outside work, Chloe enjoys spending time with friends and family. She has been incredibly lucky to travel to Africa to volunteer in a remote part of Kenya to provide vital dental treatment to the Maasai and hopes that this is something she can continue to do for many years to come.

Chloe's hobbies include horse riding, walking her dogs, and baking.

Amy Ogden Web

Amy started dental nursing in 2014 and has gained experience working with a multitude of different clinicians and also trained in Treatment Coordination. Amy is particularly passionate about delivering a quality and comfortable patient experience and became Practice Manager at Smiles Better in July 2021. Amy is always looking for ways that we can improve and helps drive and support the growth of the practice and our wonderful team.

Outside of work, Amy enjoys live music, good food, travel, and new experiences with her husband and son.

Julia Howes Web

Lead Receptionist

Julia joined Smiles Better as a receptionist in October 2023 but has a background as a dental nurse, gaining the National Diploma in Dental Nursing in 1996 and further training in oral hygiene instruction and dental radiography. Julia always delivers a warm welcome to our patients at reception and is on hand to assist you with any questions you may have.

In her free time, Julia enjoys spending time with her children and family pets.

Cherie started dental nursing in 2016 and gained her diploma in dental nursing in March 2018.

She joined our Smiles better team in 2019.

Cherie also qualified and gained her certification in implant dental nursing from the national examining board in 2022.

She divides her time at the practice between nursing and assisting on reception as well as coordinating our implantologist, Nami Farkhondeh, patient care.

When Cherie isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her family, listening to music, reading, going to the theatre and travelling.

Amanda has been dental nursing since 2014 at an NHS practice in Essex. Amanda joined Smiles Better in 2019 after she moved to Norfolk with her partner. Amanda has gained additional qualifications in Dental Radiography and is the appointed Radiation Protection Supervisor for the practice.

Outside of work, Amanda enjoys going to music events and attends Download festival every year. Amanda also loves playing Xbox; Overwatch and Bioshock are her favourite games.

Alice has been a dental nurse since 2019 and started working at Smiles Better in February 2022, newly qualified and looking to add more strings to her bow. Alice is keen to develop and explore different aspects of dentistry with a particular passion for anything surgical. You will often find Alice in surgery as part of the implant team or working alongside Specialist Periodontist Dr Denise McPartlin and overseeing her patient care coordination.

Outside of surgery, Alice likes to read, travel, live music, and spending time with friends, family, and her German Shepherd, Hugo.

Natasha joined the practice in late 2020 and qualified as a dental nurse in 2022. She is keen to broaden her knowledge of dentistry and undertake additional qualifications. She enjoys working along side Denise McPartlin to care for our periodontal patients. Outside of work Natasha trains and competes in CrossFit, particularly enjoying the weightlifting element of the sport.

Trainee Dental Nurse

Greta joined our team in October 2023 as a trainee dental nurse with big aspirations and is on track to qualify in Summer 2025. Greta is passionate about providing quality care and is dedicated to learning and growing within the dental field.

Outside of work, Greta enjoys going to the gym, staying active, and spending time with friends and family.
